Sunday, April 24, 6AM-10AM
If you are absolutely unable to come on Sunday, the make-up day will be
Monday April 23, 2018 from 3pm-5pm
You must come with someone to count your laps.
Group 1 and 2 will arrive at 6:00 AM
Group 3 and 4 will swim from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
1. Please swim during your allotted time in order to make this day run smoothly. You need to come EARLY to get checked in – A MUST!!
3. Wear a crazy cap! Please do NOT wear a SEBS cap because the lap counters are unable to tell you apart. Please wear a different and fun swim cap so that the timers may track you easily. You can purchase fun caps from www.swimoutlet.com
We remind swimmers that this is a swim-a-thon. That is, you swim until you drop! Push yourself! See how far you can go without stopping!
NO stopping to go to the bathroom (Take care of that before you get to the pool!)
NO stopping to chat with friends
NO stopping to go get a snack (fuel up before you begin your record setting attempt!)
This is your challenge and you can do it! Our overall team goal is not mileage per se, but to see how many of you meet the stated goals below. For example, how many of our Novices were able to swim 2000 yards and so forth? Can we do it? Novices? Bantams? Juniors? Seniors? Who is going to rock this challenge? All of you? YES YOU CAN!
YOU ARE THE ST. SEBASTIAN CYO CHAMPIONS!
One Team! One Dream! Go For It!
Novice 2000 yards (80 laps)
Bantam 3000 yards (120 laps)
Junior 4000 yards (160 laps)
Senior 5000 yards (200 laps)
This is our team’s main fundraiser. Each swimmer must raise a minimum of $150 for the team. (this has been raised due to the cost of everything going up) Of course, you are always welcome to donate more! We love our kids. We love our team. We want them to have all the good things that come with being part of our GREAT SWIM TEAM COMMUNITY. The money helps us do that!
ALL CHECKS ARE DUE ON or Before
April 24, 2022!
Checks are payable to: St. Sebastian CYO Fund
You may ask your grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, and whomever you wish to support you in donating to this very fun challenge. Please remember that this is a fundraising opportunity and without it we will be unable to provide for the extras that we feel are important to the Boys and Girls Swim Team. The Swim-A-Thon donations will provide the swimmers free-of-charge items such as Boys and Girls Championship Jackets, Boys and Girls Graduating Digs, annual trip to Splish Splash, and pay for the pool rental.
A Donation letter is attached.
Some of you work in companies that will match donations or own companies that need a tax deduction. Now is that time to do that!
